What information starts a land-freight review?

Land freight is PersiaCargo’s primary focus for China–Iran shipments. Availability for your order depends on the goods, origin, destination and operating conditions at the time. Send the supplier’s city in China, destination city in Iran, a precise goods description and readiness. The operating route, handover points and proposed timing must be established for the order; this guide is not a departure schedule.

Describe the goods and the packages separately

A broad label such as “accessories” is insufficient to describe the cargo. Give its use, model and characteristics relevant to transport, and keep goods photos separate from final-packing photos. For each package type, record quantity, gross weight, external dimensions and stackability. Disclose batteries, liquids, powders, magnets and sensitive items before supplier dispatch and obtain acceptance.

What should you agree before final packing?

For fragile, heavy or multi-part goods, agree inner protection, pallets or crates and suitable handling with the team. Before repacking, ask how the change affects package count, weight and volume. Link the revised package register to the original order references. Exterior photos alone cannot establish packing suitability; it must match the agreed transport conditions.

Align the documents and handover responsibilities

Reconcile descriptions, models, quantities and package details across the order, invoice and packing list. Resolve discrepancies before release. The offer should define the service start and end points and responsibility for documents, import arrangements and destination charges. Required documents or permits must be confirmed for the actual goods; this article is not a complete customs-requirements list.

Illustrative register after repacking

Suppose two cartons from order A are combined into one crate. In the revised register, link the crate reference to both original cartons, retain the contents description, and record the final crate’s external dimensions and gross weight. Mark the previous register as superseded so the supplier and freight team use the same version. This is illustrative; actual counts and measurements must come from your final packing.

A brief to prepare for a land-freight enquiry

Send the following with product links or the order file for review. After receiving an offer, recheck final weights and dimensions, price scope, quote validity and release authorisation. Do not use the company’s legal address as a cargo receiving address; obtain receiving instructions for the actual order.

  • Origin city, current cargo location and destination city in Iran
  • Goods description, models, quantities and special characteristics
  • Package register with explicit weight and dimension units
  • Ready date, need-by date and required purchasing or consolidation support
