From your request to the next step.
Define the inspection scope
Exterior photos, carton counts, sample checks and technical inspection are different services. Agree the checklist, sample quantity, acceptance criteria and reporting format for each order.
Pack for the goods and the journey
Fragility, weight, moisture sensitivity, stackability and transport mode influence packing. Review reinforced cartons, pallets or crates and any applicable wood-packaging requirements before work starts.
Measure after preparation
Final packed dimensions and weight support a more accurate quotation. Fewer cartons alone do not guarantee lower chargeable weight or freight cost.
Questions before you approve the service
Does approving a sample approve the whole bulk order?
Sample approval applies to the sample and the checks performed. Before bulk purchasing, record variants, materials, colours, quantities and acceptable differences. Agree bulk-shipment checks, the number of items to examine and reporting separately. Reconfirm product changes or supplier substitutions before purchase; sample approval does not establish transport acceptance.
Does counting cartons include checking the quality of every item?
Carton counting, exterior photos, variant checks and technical testing have different scopes. Agree which packages may be opened, how many items to examine, acceptance criteria and the required report before work starts. Exterior photos or package counts do not verify every carton's contents or the quality of the entire production run. Specialist testing needs separate review and agreement.
