Identify the last confirmed event

Start with your order reference and the most recent event confirmed by the responsible team. Goods ready at the supplier, receipt at a consolidation point, release approval and handover to a carrier are different events. Match your update record to the stages actually agreed for your order; shipments do not all follow the same route or checkpoints.

Keep plans, confirmations and pending items separate

For each stage, separate the proposed time from the confirmed event time. Mark an unconfirmed event as pending confirmation. Keep the update timestamp and time zone so reports from different people or days are not confused. Label any estimate for the next stage as an estimate rather than turning it into a fixed delivery promise.

  • Planned stage and proposed date
  • Confirmed event, timestamp and information source
  • Open item, responsible party and next update time

Connect the update request to an action

Ask which stage is confirmed, what is needed to proceed and who is following it up. If an action is outstanding from you, such as approval of a final package register, record that decision with its version reference. Agree when to request the next update. An absence of new information does not establish the cargo’s location or arrival time.

A message you can adapt for a status request

This suggested message does not report an actual shipment: “Order reference: … . Last confirmed update: …, at date/time … . Please confirm the latest completed stage, pending item, anything needed from me and the next update time.” If you use a transport reference, ask which leg it identifies. A supplier’s China domestic delivery reference is not necessarily the international shipment reference.

Use the update to prepare destination handover

When the responsible team confirms handover readiness, recheck the package-register version, agreed handover point and receiving arrangements. Arrival at a route checkpoint and final delivery to the receiver are separate events. Keep your order reference in the same conversation or email when following up with PersiaCargo. This article provides a team-communication framework; it does not offer live tracking or satellite location data.

Request an update for an existing order

For an existing PersiaCargo order, use order support with the Order progress topic. Prepare your order reference, last confirmed update and specific question. Online shipment records are not connected yet; a request receipt confirms successful recording, not the cargo location or transport stage. Obtain the actual update from the team against the same order reference.
