Define the purchasing unit first
Write down what you intend to buy: a piece, pair, complete set, inner pack or carton. Ask each supplier to identify the number of pieces within the selling unit and any included components. For a set, keep the component list alongside the quantity. Do this for the exact model and variant; a shared general product name is insufficient for a useful comparison.
Illustrative example: 120 pieces or 12 packs?
Suppose you need 120 pieces of one model. Offer A lists 12 inner packs containing 10 pieces each; offer B lists 120 pieces. Their product quantities align if the variant and included components also match. An offer stating only “12 cartons” still needs confirmation of pieces per carton. This is a hypothetical quantity example, with no actual price or customer order.
Request the same written fields from every supplier
Create one column per supplier and enter information from that supplier’s written response. Date and version each offer so a later revision is not mixed with the earlier answer. Mark unanswered fields “confirmation needed” and resolve them before comparing complete totals.
- Supplier reference, link, model and exact variant
- Selling unit, contents per unit and total piece count
- Amount, currency and product quantity covered by that amount
- Packing, domestic delivery scope and offer validity
Align the scope of the product offers
Establish whether required packing, labels or accessories are included or quoted separately. Ask where domestic delivery in China ends and who arranges it. Where scopes differ, record the difference and request clarification. Keep the product-purchase comparison separate from the China–Iran freight review so a goods offer and a transport offer are not mistaken for one another.
Record the decision and outstanding questions
Alongside comparable amounts, record the supplier’s stated readiness and outstanding questions. If the supplier changes the quantity, unit or model, update that column and obtain renewed approval. Sample acceptance and quality checks remain separate tasks; the offer comparison alone cannot establish product quality or transport suitability.
What to send for a purchasing review
For a purchasing review with PersiaCargo, send the links, supplier responses and required quantity per variant with your comparison. Identify the final order unit and unresolved items. The team can clarify the requested scope with you; supplier selection and purchase approval should use the final specifications and terms for that order.
